Beryl Brenner's career as an artist has taken a series of interesting turns. After obtaining her BA in fine arts and her MA in art-ed. from Brooklyn College, she explored a wide variety of art media, including painting, wood sculpture, metal works, photography, and clay. She exhibited the wood sculpture throughout the 1970's and she has worked in glass since that period of time. She has completed the stained glass for Our Lady of Guadeloupe Church in Danbury, Ct. and Congregation Beth Shalom Synagogue in Atlanta, Ga. Since the Spring of 2000, she has been utilizing the studio at Urban Glass in Brooklyn, New York to produce her recent experimental work in fused glass.
